MASTERS SERIES 2026
May 16, 2026 Master Series - Czech Professionals This spring, we brought five Czech professionals to work directly with our top players - coaches and players who have competed at the highest levels in Europe and North America. Josef Marha, an NHL veteran and HC Davos Hall of Famer, returned to Hong Kong for his second Master Series, bringing the experience of 159 NHL games and five Swiss league titles. Jaroslav Moucka, a championship-winning forward in Slovakia and scoring leader in Italy, shared the offensive instincts and game sense that still define his pro career. Tomas Stastny, one of the most respected players in Czech second-division hockey, showed our players what elite skating, scoring touch, and hockey IQ look like up close. Petr Hucko, already familiar with Hong Kong’s rinks and players, picked up exactly where he left off, drilling into the details he knows our level needs most. Marek Cerveny, a former powerplay defenseman for the Czech U16 and U17 national teams, worked directly with our defensemen on the small technical habits that separate good from elite. These five professionals gave their time, their knowledge, and their experience to our players - thank you! MORE HOCKEY, MORE FUN www.juniortigershockey.com
U18 Champions - Mega Ice 5s 2026
May 15, 2026 Champions. The Greater Bay Lions U18 team entered the 2026 Mega Ice 5s and left as champions. This is what the program is built for - players who compete at the highest level, who show up, who win. We are proud of every player who wore the Lions jersey. The 2026-27 season is forming now. https://www.juniortigershockey.com/elite-lion
Hockey 5's - Two Championships - One Week!
May15, 2026 When the final buzzer sounded at MegaIce Hockey 5's 2026, the Greater Bay Lions had done something that does not happen often: they won two championship titles in the same tournament, across two different age groups, on the same weekend. U15A Champions It started on Friday. The Lions put CSA away 4-0 in the final, and it was never really in doubt. Anson Kwok scored 30 seconds in. Jasper Fan made it two in the first period. Anson’s second in the second period sealed it. Cameron Chiu faced 18 shots and let in none. A shutout in a championship final. The U15A Lions were dominant from the first shift to the last. U18 Champions Then came Saturday. The Lions did not drop a game all week. They were clinical in the round robin, shut out Kingpeng 2-0 in the semifinal, and walked into the final against Gold Club with the kind of collective confidence that is hard to rattle. Mitchell Smyth scored inside the first two minutes, then added another before the period was out. Two goals, a 2-0 lead, and the Lions never looked back. Cameron Chiu, back in net for his second championship game in two days, turned away 20 of 21 shots. Gold Club pulled one back late in the third, but the Lions held their nerve. Final score 2-1. U18 Champions. U13A - runners-up The U13A team earned their place in the final the hard way, beating East Comets, Lightning Hockey, and WH Dragons twice along the way. Reaching the final of this tournament is a genuine achievement, especially for a group where most of our U13A Mi5 players were born in 2014, and they should be proud of the way they battled to the end. U11A and U11B - semifinals Two teams, two semifinal appearances. U11B won their pool convincingly and pushed hard before falling in the semis. U11A won their quarterfinal before running into WH Dragons. Both teams competed all week with the kind of effort that makes coaching worthwhile. U9A and U9B U9B went 3 wins and 2 draws in pool play. U9A showed real grit, picking up wins and draws against strong competition before bowing out in the semis. At this age group, every game is a learning experience. Both teams gave their families plenty to cheer about. U7 Four wins and a draw in pool play. For many of these kids, this was one of their first tournament experiences. They played with energy, they played with joy, and they made the club proud in every game they played. From the youngest players on the ice to the champions lifting trophies, every team that competed at MegaIce Hockey 5's 2026 represented this community with pride. That is the standard this club is built on.
